Liberté, Egalité, And France’s Courageous Banning Of the Veil

Now, more than 80 years after Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founder of the Turkish Republic, outlawed religious attire (including the headscarf and full veil for women) in his own, mostly Muslim country, the first Western nation has finally followed suit.
