M&S apology over Muslim alcohol refusal

Marks & Spencer has apologised after a Muslim member of staff refused to serve a customer trying to buy alcohol.

The retailer said it usually tried to assign "suitable roles" to staff who could not handle certain items because of their religious beliefs.

[A COMMENT] .... this isn't about 'Muslim bashing' as you so call it. This about someone who refuses to carry out a basic requirement of her job, but blames it on her religious beliefs. She should get another job....

[ANOTHER COMMENT] This latest piece of positive discrimination just about sums up where we are in the UK. It's going to take one incident like this for there to be all out rioting across the country. MPs may be blind to it, but the overwhelming majority of people in this country are absolutely sick to death of pandering to the needs of a very vocal, militant minority. WE'VE HAD ENOUGH.
