Probe into 'Islamic plot' to take over schools expanded following fresh claims from headteachers

Education chiefs probing an alleged plot by Muslim extremists to take over Birmingham schools have been 'inundated' with fresh reports from headteachers.

It is understood Birmingham City Council is set to draft in extra staff to examine claims hard-line Islamists schemed to remove non-Muslim staff from schools and 'indoctrinate' pupils.

The so-called 'Trojan Horse' plot is also being investigated by Ofsted and the Department for Education. At least 12 schools are currently thought to be under review. [The Mirror] Read more
